When did your vocation for the world of dentistry come about?

It was always very clear to me that I wanted to study something in the health field. I didn't get enough marks to get into nursing or physiotherapy, so I decided first to study dental prosthetics and then oral hygiene. I have no regrets.

What do you like most about the work you do at Clínica Sicilia?

Dealing with people. After studying dental prosthetics, where you work in a laboratory with hardly any contact with people outside it, I realised that I didn't want to spend the rest of my life like that, I needed contact with people.

What do you like most about the relationship with patients?

The fact that I can be useful to them. Although Dr. Sicilia is very approachable, patients are generally very nervous and it is very common for them not to have any questions to ask him after a treatment has been explained to them. However, when they come to my office, all they have are questions, fears and doubts.

What is the most common question you are asked by patients?

They always ask about pain, to which all of us at the clinic answer with complete confidence that there is no pain at all. We perform all surgery under a microscope, which allows us to perform minimally invasive treatments in which postoperative results are very good, and patients can usually return to their daily routine the day after surgery.

A series, a film, a book and a song:

TV Show: Friends
Film: I know it sounds a bit weird: Mary Poppins.
Book: The Human Factor
Song: I wouldn't know which song to choose, I'm quite a disaster when it comes to music.

What special memory do you have of your childhood?

Saturday breakfasts with my mother at Simago.

If you could get a special quality or ability overnight, what would it be?

I would love to be in a good mood all the time, I envy people who are in a good mood 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. There are few people like that, but I am lucky enough to know some.

What would your perfect day look like?

I make do with very little, or a lot depending on how you look at it. With my family and as a garnish mountains and snow.

Beatles or Rolling Stones
